Simply Christmas – Hope
This Sunday we light the first Advent candle, sometimes called the “Prophecy Candle” in remembrance of the prophets, especially Isaiah, who foretold the birth of Christ. It represents the expectation felt in anticipation of the coming Messiah. We will look at the dynamic between experience and expectation, and see what we can rediscover when we look at what’s happened instead of what hasn’t.
